    Best news, features, reviews, interviews, profiles, analysis, criticism, or any other type of content that covers movies, TV shows, music, theatre, celebrities, or other aspects of popular culture. (At least three stories to be submitted for consideration)
  • Best Coverage of Fashion & Lifestyle
    Webiste or content that covers the intersection of fashion and lifestyle trends, styles and culture of the industry. (At least three stories to be submitted for consideration)
  • Best Coverage of Sports
    Breaking news, features, in-depth profiles, interviews, opinion pieces, analysis, or any other type of content that covers any sport or sports-related happenings. (At least three stories to be submitted for consideration)
  • Best Feature Article (Text)
    The coverage of an important issue in an insightful way.
  • Best Investigative Story
    To recognise and reward extreme effort that has gone into a report that seeks to uncover a serious public matter.
  • Best Local Journalism
    Strong local reporting can allow an online publisher to take up issues that matter and create a bond with the community. (Three reports to be submitted for consideration)
  • Best Section
    Website visitors have special interests. To recognise and reward the creation of a section that caters to any one of such special interests (Eg Health, Environment, Social Issues or any other).
  • Best Use of Podcast
    The use of podcast to engage visitors to the site and thus getting them to stay longer.
  • Best Use of Social Media
    Best use of social media round the year to promote content on the website.
  • Best Video Feature
    The coverage of an important issue in an insightful way.
  • Best Video Series
    Sustained coverage of an important issue in a logical, systematic, and insightful way.

  • Best Interactive Story
    Using the best possibilities of interactivity that the web offers to tell a great story.
  • Best UI/UX: Mobile App
    A mobile app with exceptional UI/UX design which prioritise user needs and makes information gathering easy and efficient.
  • Best UI/UX: Website
    Website with exceptional UI/UX design which prioritise user needs and makes information gathering easy and efficient.
  • Best Use of Infographics
    Use of infographics on the website to effectively convey complex information in a clear and engaging way.
Innovation
  • Best Audience Engagement on Site
    Meaningful efforts to engage visitors in one or a variety of ways and keep them on the website.
  • Best Innovation in Publishing
    The innovation could relate to content, advertising, audience generation - or just about any initiative on the site. But it has to be original, make people sit up and say 'wow'.
Technology
  • Best Use of Technology
    The use of new technology in any aspect of online publishing that either enhances the user experience, helps better serve ads or helps business efficiencies.
 
Personal Achievement Awards

The Personal Achievement Award has been introduced in Digipub for the first time. The purpose is to recognize and celebrate individual achievement.

Anyone can recommend either themselves or someone else - be it a friend or colleague.

This special award is restricted to executives from the online publishing business.

There is no fee for participating in the Personal Achievement Award.

The entries will be judged by a panel of senior marketers and agency executives. The entries may be shortlisted by afaqs! edit team.

Digipub Business Leader of the Year

This honour is meant for executives who head an online publishing business, irrespective of whether their designation is CEO, COO, CRO or any other appropriate designation.

Primary requirement: The executive should have headed the online publishing business for at least a full year ending March 31, 2023.

The potential Business Leader of the Year should have provided great leadership. He/She will be judged on a variety of factors including revenue growth, profitability, employee satisfaction and new initiatives.

The more the details, the easier it would be for the jury to decide on the entry.
